When did you join Savills?

I joined Savills Development Consultancy Team in London as a surveyor in 2006. My role involved advising clients on use, mix and building specifications for large scale mixed use and residential developments. In 2008 I transferred to the Dublin office, my home city, and joined the Property Management department as an Associate, building on experience I gained in Facilities Management Consultancy while with another company prior to Savills.

What are the greatest benefits of working at Savills?

The greatest benefit for me has been the wide international coverage and the flexibility offered by Savills.  I began working for the company in 1998 within the Residential department in Beijing, moved to Paris two years later and then four years after I moved to London.  Each time, Savills has offered me a new opportunity enabling me to progress my career with them despite my personal life taking me to new countries.

Are there any specific projects or opportunities that you have been given?

When I moved back to France (my home country), I was tasked with the creation and the development of the Paris research department, which I still manage.

How would you describe your working style?

The good thing about Savills is you are able to develop your own working style. They are flexible and trusting in their management allowing you to develop a style that works for you and your clients. You find yourself working hard behind your laptop, but your laptop is portable and follows you in all your European travels!
