Property Managment

When did you join Savills?

I joined Savills Development Consultancy Team in London as a surveyor in 2006. My role involved advising clients on use, mix and building specifications for large scale mixed use and residential developments. In 2008 I transferred to the Dublin office, my home city, and joined the Property Management department as an Associate, building on experience I gained in Facilities Management Consultancy while with another company prior to Savills.

What made you choose Savills?

I chose Savills not only because of the firm’s leading position in the UK but also for its international presence. I was keen to join a property firm which could offer exciting career opportunities back in Ireland as well as in the UK. Within months of joining the London team I was heavily involved in a Chicago based project providing a level of experience and exposure which very few companies could offer. The diversity of work and the client base were also deciding factors. The team in London demonstrated the company’s commitment to client care and the delivery of the highest quality service and these same brand qualities are without doubt evident in Ireland as well.

What is your current role?

I currently work as an Associate in the Property Management team of the Dublin office. I manage a team of Property Managers with a combined portfolio of 65 properties. My principal duties include client liaison, reporting, tenant management, team line management, business development and the overseeing of health and safety policies within the department. It is an extremely diverse role and always busy – no day is ever the same and day to day activities are certainly not limited to unblocking drains and cleaning toilets!. The industry of property management involves a huge element of problem solving so it helps if you have a rationale and patient mind!
